Profile: A tool and die maker for more than 20 years, owner Ted Mitchell opened his machine shop in 1990 and built his first transmission, for his brother, six years later. Since that time Mitchell Machine has designed and developed a replacement case that will prevent the cast iron ears from cracking, giving racers a very strong and light transmission for years of racing abuse. In addition to tool and die work, injection mold repair they also have CNC mill capabilities, and do tig and mig welding from high carbon tool steel to aluminum and magnesium. Mitchell provides racers with a large selection of clutches, gears and other drive line components, priding themselves on customer satisfaction through quality services and outstanding racer support.

Program:  Joining the IMCA Stock Car contingency sign-up program in 2007, Mitchell Machine will award a free transmission to the first place finishing customer in each region who signs up before August 1. 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each Stock Car region will each receive $100 product certificates and must also be competing with a Mitchell-made Bullet transmission to be eligible.
